At Ganbeii, the art of lighting meets architectural ingenuity. Amorphous Design Lab conceptualized, designed, and executed two distinct yet harmonious lighting installations, enhancing the restaurant's ambiance and spatial dynamics.

Voluminous Grid Lighting System

Spanning an impressive 70 ft in length and 40 ft in width, the voluminous grid lighting system redefines the ceiling plane. This abstract grid structure, meticulously fragmented for a poetic interplay of form and levels, creates a dynamic spatial rhythm. Suspended cuboidal white luminaires punctuate the structure, offering a soft, diffused glow that complements the restaurant's contemporary aesthetic.

Pagoda-Inspired Lights

Hovering above the island table seating, the pagoda-inspired lights draw from traditional Chinese architectural forms and the ethereal charm of Chinese lanterns. These sculptural luminaires provide a warm, intimate glow, creating a focal point that balances tradition with modernity.

Design Philosophy
