'Nakamarra' - Hiatus Kaiyote | James Croxton

Hey guys! I'm back again with another one of my session portfolio videos where I aim to authentically recreate recorded performances by artists who inspire me. This time I’m playing 'Nakamarra' by Hiatus Kaiyote.

Hiatus Kaiyote are a huge part of my musical journey as they mark my first experience of Neo Soul music where a lot of elements from Jazz and Fusion come into play. This then caused me to become more open to exploring Jazz as a genre. This is an absolutely gorgeous song with such a lush harmony.

This was recorded straight into GarageBand and shot with my SONY ZV1. All the guitar playing was done in one take.
