I conquered Hong Kong's Iconic Dragon's Back Trail!

I recently had the pleasure to hike Dragon's back again. 1st time I hiked it was in 2012. It's one of Hong Kong's most famous and accessible hikes offering some great viewing points of the outlying islands and the shining sea. However, it's well-trafficked especially at weekends so be ready to share the path with others.

How I got to the starting point:
My hotel was in Hong Kong island and I took the scenic tram to its terminus. The tram ride was awesome. I had a bite at the local market and took a bus straight to the trailhead.

My highlights:
At the start of the hike I went straight instead of turning right which meant I did a detour and hiked the To Tei Wan- Shek O road path which at the end suited me because that lesser-known trail was not trafficked at all and it had great views along the way. It allowed me to do a loop hike and rejoin Dragon's back later.
I have done several other hikes in Hong Kong and there are several hikes better than Dragon's back aka less-trafficked but still with amazing views so consider other hikes as well on your next HKG trip
