Since yesterday evening, intermittent rainfall has been lashing Jammu & Kashmir, leading to a dangerous rise in water levels. The Tawi River has already crossed the danger mark, creating panic among residents in low-lying areas.

“Yes, during the last 24 hours, several areas of Jammu & Kashmir have been experiencing heavy to moderate rains. The Tawi River and other streams have crossed the danger level, and water levels are continuing to rise. There are chances of more rainfall in the next 12 to 24 hours, especially in the Jammu region.
We urge people to stay away from rivers and streams, avoid unnecessary travel, and strictly follow the advisories issued by the district administration.”
