We have a beautiful new bike path in Savannah, GA, the Truman Linear Park Trail Bike Path! This starts at Lake Mayer off Sallie Mood Drive, right next to the Aquatic Center. The path is a little over 3 miles and has lights, so it is excellent to ride at night and has emergency call boxes and cameras for security! The path is cool how it winds through the neighborhoods along Harry S Truman Pkwy and going a good distance on a boardwalk engineered over the watery/marshy part of the path. I would rate the path as easy with a small hill about the halfway point, but the cool thing is on the round trip, only one way is UP hill! After the 3 miles to Jenkins High School off Derenne, the path ends for now. The round trip from the car to the end was 6.25 miles. Since we were motivated to ride, we went around Lake Mayer; why not? It was a beautiful day for an extra 1.4 mile! In all, it was an EASY 7.5-mile ride that anyone should be able to handle if you can ride a bike! Enjoy! If you have questions about real estate in Savannah or any place, please call me.
