Chachi’s red list rescue story ♥️

So many of you have followed us and Chachi on this journey for the past month. And we couldn’t have done it without every person that played a part in Chachi’s greater puzzle and rescue story. THANK YOU

After spending his first months of life chained to a car in a 20 dog hoarding situation, followed by over 100 days in an overcrowded shelter, culminating in red list status, you truly have not had an easy life sweet Chachi.

When the shelter shared with us about you - we knew despite it being a hard time of year during the holidays - we had to try to save you. And praise God after weeks of advocating, strategizing, marketing giveaways, contact news stations, emailing foster based rescues in and out of state, coordinating multiple meet and greets, battling our own feelings of defeat after each ended in adoptions - just not yours - we were emailed by a couple who saw your Frost Fund story thanks to @kaceymontoya sharing and wanted to learn more. We shared all we knew about Chachi from the shelter and our desire to offer sponsored training sessions for anyone who adopted him along with other insights and resources.

We coordinated an initial meet & greet with them which went wonderfully. A week later they came back to adopt after their holiday plans were over - A day day past your red list exit date. Truly, your story is a miracle. One so many people prayed and fought for.

There are probably more people than any of us know of who have been involved - but I’m going to try to list a few.
