PURPLE PILGRIMAGE Part 1 - 'Purple Rain' Film Locations

I've been a huge Prince fan for more years than I can count! When visiting Minneapolis, I do what all fans do - I go looking for the Purple Rain House and visit First Avenue.

As part of my road-trip around the USA, I spent time in Minnesota looking for the lesser-known locations used in the movie. I was surprised that many are still there but also that many are not actually in Minneapolis or even Minnesota state...!

I put my best detective hat on and went searching for the locations of 'Purple Rain'.
