Here's a simple DIY cage accessory I'm calling the Tunnel Escape Box for pet rats and small animals. You'll need soldering iron, small bin box, stick-on hanger clips, cardboard, sharpie, and any tunnel that has a lip, like PVC pipe, accordion tunnel, or like mine, a Kaytee tube.

You'll make an opening in the lid of the box with the soldering iron. Then you'll make a channel opening along the side of the box for the lip of the tube to slide into. In the video, I made the channel too long. I wish I had stopped higher. It's no big deal. It's just what I would have preferred.

The channel has to be long enough so the lid can be snapped on the top when the tunnel is in place.
