Second perhaps only to the Shama and competing closely with the White-winged Blackbird of the Himalaya, the Magpie-Robin is a common and cheery resident of the plains, of city gardens and forests alike, and an adept songster and musical caller, esp. during the breeding season and when establishing its territory.
