Tip #24: Find your favorite brands: Not every brand will fit you, but once you find one, marry it.

I have spent years building my wardrobe and discovering my style, it took until this year to finally feel like I nailed both. That will change over time but here are a few key things I have discovered that helped me “nail it.”
Buy for quality.
I have mentioned this before but when I stopped buying $10 t-shirts and spent upwards of $30 the shirts would last longer, drape better and the collar wouldn’t crinkle.
Find brands you love.
I searched and searched for higher quality brands that had a style that I loved, not liked, loved. I then took the time to find my size. For my favoite brands like Ted Baker, I am a size 3 and for Scotch and Soda, I am a medium. I joined their mailing list and sat back to wait for deals.
Wait for deals.
I bought a Scotch and Soda bomber that was originally $298 for under $150. All brands have their set margins and the lowest possible price on deals. Once you follow a brand for a while you will start to notice how their pricing works when items go on sale, and when you can get smoking deals. Usually, it is end of the season or before Christmas, not after, that you get the best deals.

Once you have discovered your favorite brands, found your size and signed up for the mailing list, you can start to properly build a high-quality wardrobe that fits you.
