Tuna Fish Curry without Coconut | Spicy Kupa Fish Curry | Nadan Choora Meen Curry | Kera Meen Mulakittathu | Meen Vattichathu

Tuna Fish Curry is an authentic tangy flavored fish delicacy in Kerala, very special and tasty. The spicy flavored Tuna Fish Curry pairs very well with hot rice and Kappa (Tapioca). This delicious fish curry is unique and special with tuna pieces cooked in a spicy masala paste. Tuna (or Choora in Malayalam) is rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and other essential nutrients. This Tuna Fish Curry is one of the easiest fish dishes that can be cooked in a jiffy.

So here's the recipe from my kitchen to yours.

Ingredients :

350 gms Tuna Fish (Choora Meen) (Here I have used dark meat Tuna)

For Masala Paste :

1 medium size (60 gms) Onion (roughly chopped)
15 to 20 flakes (20 gms) Garlic
2 inch (10 gms) Ginger (roughly chopped)
25 nos. (100 gms) Shallots (roughly chopped)
1 tsp Fennel Seeds (saunf)
½ tsp Cumin Seeds (jeera)
½ tsp Mustard Seeds (rai)
1 tsp Turmeric Powder
1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
½ tsp Pepper Powder
1 tbsp heaped Coriander Powder
1 tbsp Kashmiri Chilli Powder
2 to 3 tbsp Water

Other Ingredients :

2 nos. Garcinia Cambogia (Kudampuli)
3 to 4 tbsp Coconut Oil
½ tsp Mustard Seeds (rai)
½ tsp Fenugreek Seeds (Methi Seeds)
3 nos. Green Chillies
1 sprig Curry Leaves
200 ml Water (used after rinsing the blender jar)
½ tsp Salt (or as per taste)
1 sprig Curry Leaves
1 tsp Coconut Oil

Note : tsp is teaspoon
tbsp is tablespoon
