Fire, Sand, and Water in the Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines

Описание к видео Fire, Sand, and Water in the Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines

Habitat restoration in the Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines sends ripples throughout the whole river system, and preserves globally rare ecology and geology. We join The Nature Conservancy in Florida's Brian Pelc and Florida Native Plant Society's Lilly Anderson-Messec to explore the connection between upland sandhill / longleaf pine habitat, steephead ravines, and the Apalachicola River, and even Apalachicola Bay. We meet Apalachicola Riverkeeper's Georgia Ackerman and Doug Alderson on Saint George Island to talk about sand and where it comes from.
