I tested the DJI Mic Mini in two standard scenarios—music recording indoors and dialogue recording outdoors.

To give a clear idea of the audio recording quality of the DJI Mic Mini, I’ve recorded the same music clip under different settings—with noise cancellation set to basic and strong and with Low Cut toggled on and off. So that you could have a comparison, I’ve included two other recordings, too. One is a Line-In recording (top quality, in other words) and one by my Samsung S24+

At the end of this video is also a range test.

After testing the DJI Mic Mini across various scenarios, I think it’s an excellent, affordable recording solution for content creators. Once properly set up, it’s effectively a 'plug-and-use' gadget with good-quality, natural-sounding recordings—much better than any smartphone mic.

The noise cancellation in 'Strong' mode can feel a bit aggressive, but it’s good to have the option for situations that demand it. Lastly, the range is fabulous and stable, and the lightweight design makes it incredibly portable. This is a solid choice for creators looking to up their audio game!
