Everything you need to know about TV and Digital Media. Yes it's all in my channel.TV Executive Director Showrunner and creative coach Jonathan Glazier is a thought leader in the tv format and entertainment industry. Lecturing around the world in creativity, format development, reality tv production and documentary production. Former head of BBC Light Entertainment and consultant to many international broadcasters and production companies. He also works extensively in production as an award winning producer and director. Two of the projects he worked on are just going into production. Jonathan is a visiting lecturer at the University of Creative Arts.
So this is my video channel. I will share my thoughts on developing ideas for tv. I will review shows from the perspective of my own views on the tools we use for storytelling. I believe in a few tools that are common to all stories. However, there are infinite ways of using and applying these tools combining them to create brilliant and engaging ways.
For me, storytelling isn't just about novels and drama. Storytelling is in every element of media we engage with. Quiz shows, game shows all television formats need and have great storytelling. applying these tools in a creative way is what lifts shows from the bland and forgettable to the memorable. I also work in digital media.
