Pairi Daiza is, for me, the best zoo in Belgium, and I think it's also the largest. It's especially fun now, especially during the Christmas holidays, in the evenings.
It was beautiful, i recommend everyone to experience it.
Keep in mind that you'll see far fewer animals in the evenings, and because of the cold, some species stay indoors or stay out after a certain time. It's mainly for the Christmas lights and such, and for the video maps in the evening. There are three video maps in this video; I didn't film them completely , you have to see it yourself in Pairi Daiza.
Highly recommended.
You really have to go there. My brother, his wife, and two children have season tickets.

A bit extra info about Pairi Daiza;

The official opening
The park first opened its doors on May 11, 1994. At that time, the park wasn't called Pairi Daiza, but Paradisio. At the time of its opening, it was primarily a bird park (a "bird paradise"), located on the beautiful old site of Cambron Abbey.

Important milestones:
1994: Opening as Paradisio Bird Park.

2000: Construction of the Oasis (a huge greenhouse), which marked the start of the expansion of the park to include animals other than just birds.

2010: The name officially changed to Pairi Daiza. This name comes from Old Persian and means "enclosed garden" (the oldest name for "paradise").

2014: The arrival of the giant pandas, which led to enormous international growth.

2024: The park celebrated its 30th anniversary last year.

I also tested the iPhone 17 Pro Max, and I'm very pleased with the results. It'll never be perfect, but you get decent videos, and that's the most important thing. If you see flickering in the video, there wasn't much I could do about that. The only solution was to use the 4x zoom, but you can't use 4x zoom all the time in your video. If anyone has any other solutions to stop this flickering, please let me know. Please be polite, and thanks in advance.

Er waren 3 video maps, ik heb ze niet alle 3 volledig gefilmd, ik wou de variatie een beetje behouden in de video en ook dat mensen als ze er zijn dat ze het zelf volledig kunnen bekijken. De 3de video mapping vond ik de leukste, die aan het water. Prachtig gedaan.
Ik raad het iedereen aan om eens te gaan op dagen als deze, met Kerstmis en 's avonds te genieten vd mooie verlichtingen en dergelijke meer, uiteraard zie je dan wel minder dieren wat logisch is.
Pairi Daiza is de top. Dikke aanrader. Gewoon gaan. ;)
