Every year, miners extract over 8,000 kg of gold, but to do that, they must crush and dig through 5,400 metric tons of rock—far beyond the limits of normal machines.

And get this: about 16% of the world's total gold comes from this one mine. But the risk is extreme—one wrong move and you're trapped forever, thousands of feet below in total darkness.
