A look around the substantial remains of Crouch End Station and Crouch Hill Sub Station in the London Borough of Haringey.

The station was open between 1867 and 1954 on the Edgware, Highgate and London Railways line. In the 1930s plans were drawn up to include the line as part of the London Underground Northern Line under the Northern Heights project. Who knows, the station could well have been still open if World War 2 had not caused the scheme to be abandoned.

The line finally closed in 1970 having been used for freight and London Underground stock movements. The trackbed was later converted into the Parkland Walk.
