Ingredients:

Grated Beetroot - 1 Cup
Grated Coconut - 1/2 Cup
Green Chillies - 2
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 1 Tbsp

Seasoning Ingredients:

Ghee/Clarified Butter - 1 tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 4-5

Method:

1. Steam the grated Beetroot in the microwave for 7 minutes or steam in a cooker without the whistle on a medium flame for 6-8 minutes.

2. Add 1/2 Cup of grated Coconut to the mixer jar. Add 2 Green Chillies, 1/4 tsp of Mustard Seeds, 1/4 tsp of Cumin Seeds and 1 tsp of Salt. Add a small amount of water and grind to a smooth paste.

3. Add 1 Cup of cooked Beetroot, ground paste, and washed mixer jar water. Add 2 ladlefuls of thick curd. Mix everything well with the help of a ladle. Add 1 Tbsp of Coriander Leaves and mix well.

4. Seasoning: Add 1 tsp of Ghee/Clarified Butter to a small frying pan. Once the Ghee melts, add 1/2 tsp of Mustard Seeds. Once the Mustard Seeds splutter, add 4-5 Curry Leaves and mix well.

5. Once the Curry Leaves are roasted, add the seasoning immediately to the prepared Beetroot Sasmi/Sasive and mix well.
