Описание к видео The Iconic 1985 Maruti Suzuki Van (800V/ST90V)

The Maruti Suzuki Van was launched with the Maruti 800 SS80 in 1984. Just like the SS80, the initial lot of the Van had all Japanese parts right from the bulbs to the engine components. From 1984 to 1987, it was called fondly called the Maruti Van and when the car got localized, it was renamed to Omni in 1988.

The Van/Omni had a production run of more than 30 years and was discontinued only because of the emission norms and it never ran out of demand.

Here, we have a pristine single owner 1985 Maruti Van in the city of Nasik in Maharashtra which wears all the Japanese parts even today. The owner Vinaykumar Chumble has fancier cars like Mustang, BMW but he never wishes to part with the Van as its not just a car for him, but an emotional story which his family shares and its the same with India.
