Despite major advances in the prevention and treatment of cardiac disease by drugs and with medical devices, it is still difficult to predict who will experience sudden cardiac death. In this talk, Professor Leon Glass approaches the problem of risk stratification for sudden cardiac death from the perspective of basic science with a focus on arrhythmias.

On January 20, 2012, the Vermont Complex Systems Center at the University of Vermont invited Professor Leon Glass to discuss this topic as part of the Complex Systems Spire Speaker Series. Professor Leon Glass is a professor of physiology and the Isadore Rosenfeld Chair in Cardiology at McGill University.
