Disclaimer: I'm not a mechanic by trade. The info I put in this video is compiled from what I have found out over the years servicing and repairing most of my own personal vehicles. It is NOT to be considered as a training or how to video. It's just to maybe help someone that needs a place to start when trying to solve a charging issue with an old Ford. That being said, I'm sure there are service manuals or better 'how to' videos that you should be able to find easily.
Now to talk about the video....the FIRST thing you should do if you experience a charging problem is to check the belt !! I got everything ready to go through the steps on video BEFORE I looked at the belt. That ruined my service video, so the decision was made to just talk my way through the normal process purposely leaving the first step to be the last thing talked about. I wish I would have checked it before I got the DVOM's, drop light, sockets and creeper ready with the tripod and camera. I would've had a much easier day !! #alternator, #ford, #diy
