A great '93 set from Sy here at Obsession 'Hyperspace', playing some classic hardcore tunes. Obsession held this night back at Plymouth Warehouse in August 1993. There were only 2 mixes from the Hyperspace event released & they appeared on a 6 pack called 'Xclusive Rave Masters' , which also featured mixes from the July '93 'Strings Of Life' event.

Obsession were a rave event music promoter, setup by Gideon Dawson in 1992. They held a number of seminal raves at the height of the breakbeat hardcore scene in the early 1990s. The Obsession offices were located in Cheltenham, opposite the Town Hall. Gideon sadly passed away in April 2019 after suffering an overdose of cocaine and prescription drugs. RIP - the Obsession raves won't be forgotten !

I recorded this cassette in using a Nakamachi tape deck, applied some hiss removal and it sounds great ! Sit back, enjoy the tunes and trip through memory lane...
