Khumbu Sherpa summer festival (Phakngi) celebrates during 1st week of August. Previous years Khumbu Sherpas living in Kathmandu around more than 200 people gathered and celebrate this festival with great joy together but due Covid19 and mass gathering restriction by the government this year few small individual group celebrating Phakngi. Achu Tshering Ongchu & Mendok Doka with Achu Phura & Pema Chamji organized about 25 person Baluwatar Phakngi group at Phurba Sona house in Baluwatar on 4th and 5th August.
