The Monza Cylinder is modified and ported to produce almost double the power straight out of the box. But how?

1) Draw the port mapping and check timings.
2) Depending on the crank stroke and length of the conrod, you have to recalculate timings.
3) Depending on the power output you want to reach, exhaust porting is necessary (i.e., for 30HP, you don't have to change anything on the exhaust at all!).
4) Modify the intake manifold, taking care of the side squish velocity of the head.
5) Make correct adjustments to ignition timing and carb jetting to fine-tune the setup.

Et voilà - 40HP!

I use professional calculation programs that plot blueprints of the new port designs to transfer exactly to the cylinder.
