Rooftop karting at Kart Hauz's latest relocated track on the Penang Mainland. One of the widest indoor kart circuits in Malaysia, this track is a great place for new drivers to attempt indoor karting. The track is wide and you can learn how to do trail braking in the longer corners here.

The wacky bright yellow makes these karts distinctively stand out on track. Probably one of the most old school or older gen go karts I have driven.

These karts have good engine throttle response and acceleration when needed. However, the steering was really stiff for mine, and it was difficult to get the kart to turn in at the sharp U/hairpin corners.

Karts didn't loose too much traction which was good, and it seems to work well if you are an understeer driver. I would say these are one of the stiffer karts I have driven.

Described as the largest indoor go kart track in Malaysia. This is probably one of the longest and largest indoor spaces for go karting that I have been to in Malaysia.

Track feels old school and not really the best scenery unless you look outside the building where you can see Penang Island in the distance that is quite nice. Tires for barriers personally doesn't feel the safest, but the track is quite wide so there's run off for minor mistakes. If you drive slower here it shouldn't be a problem for safety.

I liked that the track had long and sharp corners which trains drivers to trail brake if not drifting through the corners. The lack of visual brake references makes this a good place to train the brake feeling skill.

It's not the hardest track for an indoor setting, and honestly felt quite easy to learn if you can remember how the corners are placed in their sequences. I would say Kart Hauz Penang is a good kart track to do some old school go kart training and improve one's braking skill.
