There are different types of bleach powder and developer available in the market, and choosing the right one is essential for highlighting your hair. A 20 or 30 volume developer is recommended for highlighting, and a bleach powder with blue or purple undertones can help neutralize any yellow or orange tones in your hair. The mixing ratio of bleach and developer for highlights will depend on the consistency and thickness of your hair. In general, a 1:1/2 ratio of bleach powder to developer is recommended. For example, if you use one scoop of bleach powder, you'll need one and a half scoops of developer.
