Mosquito borne diseases and surveillance

Описание к видео Mosquito borne diseases and surveillance

Mosquitos are the deadliest animals on earth. Three quarters of a million people die from mosquito borne diseases worldwide each year. There are five main viruses of concern in Victoria, including Murray Valley Encephalitis, Japanese Encephalitis, Barmah Forest Virus, Ross River Virus and West Nile/Kunjin viruses. The first three can be deadly. Mosquito surveillance is vitally important to help protect and warn Victorians of any potential risk in their area of residence.
