Pattern for Snowflake Granny Squares
Round 1 – Colour 1 – Create a magic circle to make the centre.
Into the circle. Chain 3 (1stHdc) and make 7 Hdc with a chain 1 between each of the 8 stitches
Round 2 - Chain 3 + 1Dbc into same space 1Dbc 1Chain 1Dbc repeat for a total of 8 and ss into space bt the first “V” stitch
Round 3 – Chain 2 + 1Dbc + Chain 2 + 2Dbc into same space.
2Dbc + 2 Ch + 2Dbc bt “V” stitch Repeat * to * Ss bt 2 Dbc from previous round.
Round 4 – Ss to next “V” stitch. 2 Chain + 2Dbc + 2 Chain + 3 Dbc.
3 Dbc + 2 Chain + 3Dbc Repeat into next 7 spaces
Ss into first Dbc stitch we made in this round. Cut off thread and sew back.
Round 5 – Colour 2 – starting on a 2 chain space
Chain 1 * Bt next 2 posts make 1 sc. Bt next 2 posts Hdc. Bt next 2 post Dbc.
In space bt clusters Tbc. Skip a stitch Bt next 2 posts make 1Dbc into each stitch.
At corner make 2Dbc +2 Chain + 2Dbc. Bt next 2 posts make 1 Dbc into next 2 stitches.
Make a Tbc, bt next 2 posts Dbc, bt next 2 posts Hdc, bt next 2 post 1sc. Tbc into space.
Dbc, Hdc and complete a sc for the first quarter of the square* Repeat 3 more times.
Round 6 – Chain 2 + Dbc to the corner. Into chain 2 space make 3Dbc + 2Chain +3Dbc.
Complete 1Dbc into each stitch to next corner and repeat the corner with 3Dbc + 2Chain +3Dbc .
At the end of round 6 ss into the first Dbc of the round and sew back thread.
