STALKER ANOMALY 1.5.2 - PART SEVEN - LIVING LEGEND OVER THE RAINBOW (DISABLE THE BRAIN SCORCHER)

After talking to the Gatekeeper at the Barrier, you might want to head straight to the Radar. DON'T! You will get slaughtered and those Psy waves will melt what's left of your brain matter. You will need a Ecology suit and your best bet is the Professor in Yantar. They are around 85,000 Roubles so if you don't have the cash, get grinding. Remember that these suits offer hardly any ballistic protection so its worth investing in some Kevlar plates for your belt slots.

Going through the Barrier to the Radar is one route but it's a tough one and you'll be up against hardcore solidiers AND mutants. An 'easier' route is through the Red Forest to the Radar entrance gate. Take out the Monolith at the base and head down the train tunnel to the Lab X19 entrance.

Entering the Lab, you'll be on a 6 minute countdown timer to deactivate the Brain Scorcher so you'll need to move fast. There's a few Bloodsuckers to take care of on the way so be careful. Again, the shotgun is your friend through these areas so make sure you have enough buckshot. The machine is in the centre of a large room. Flip that switch! Now the party is really getting started as you'll have to battle your way back out of the complex. You will need plenty of ammo and grenades....and meds.

There's lots of loot to be had off the corpses on the way out (i picked up a nice BAS scope replacement) so grab a Hercules bottle before you set off. Emerging from the tunnel, there will be more Monolith to take out. Finish them off and you're home free.
