Описание к видео Will my milk supply decrease if my infant sleeps more and feeds less at night?

It sounds like you have a five week old baby girl who is starting to sleep better through the night. This is about the time when some babies do; usually it's between six and eight so you can consider yourself lucky if she's starting to sleep better now. You are concerned about your milk supply and it all depends on her patterns and routine. If she is just naturally starting to sleep at night then you can follow her cues and you obviously don't want to be stimulating your body to make more milk at night when she's not going to be eating it. But if she's refusing feedings during the day that is a problem and it would be best to talk to the pediatrician. They can make sure that she's getting enough to eat, that she is growing properly, and that there aren't any other medical conditions causing a problem. But as for milk supply, you're wise to be thinking about it. Your body is very sensitive to different things that go on during the first two months of your baby's life, that's essentially the time when you put in your order for your whole breastfeeding experience. If you're not able to establish a good meal supply in the first two months you will struggle for months to come. Your body is sensitive to how much you eat. You should be eating 400-500 extra calories each day, drinking at least eight glasses of water if not more, and also the number of feedings that you have can affect things. If you're nursing your baby less frequently then your body will think you don't have to make as much milk and so it probably won't. If your baby is falling into natural routines where she is eating every two to four hours during the day and sleeping well at night, that's perfectly normal and you can just follow her cues. If it's a little bit abnormal, she's sleeping through the day and refusing feedings or skipping them then it would be best to take her to the pediatrician and pump when she's not eating just to keep your body stimulated to make milk.
