State-level Approaches and Strategies for Personalized, Competency-Based Learning

The webinar focuses on findings across six districts in three states and provide perspectives on various components of personalized, competency-based learning. These components include capacity building for educators and district leaders, systems change to support personalized, competency-based learning, roles to support the work and strategies to scale implementation.

Stewart Hudson of the Leon Lowenstein Foundation and Rebecca Wolfe of KnowledgeWorks open the session by framing the importance of understanding the how personalized, competency-based learning has been scaled and implemented across multiple states. Mark Duffy, Senior Research Associate, and Mary Eddins, Policy Associate, present the research findings. Jon Alfuth, KnowledgeWorks Policy Director, will respond to key findings and discus policy implications.
