Russia’s Defence Ministry on Saturday claimed major advances across multiple Ukrainian regions, including Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, and Kherson. Moscow said its forces had “inflicted heavy losses” on the Armed Forces of Ukraine, neutralising over a thousand troops in 24 hours. The statement added that Russian air and missile units targeted Ukrainian energy and transport infrastructure in 143 locations, while air defences intercepted a Neptune missile, HIMARS projectiles, and 247 drones. The ministry also reported the liberation of Rybnoye in Zaporozhye and continued encirclement operations near Donetsk, describing the overall situation as one of “steady progress” on all fronts.
