This is the first part of a series covering an OakeShott Type 17 Austrian Sword. The hexagonal blade is unique, especially in reproductions. This is why I chose Albion. The blade is 6150 steel (one of my favorites) among this family of spring steel alloys. CNC machined and fit to perfection, this reproduction is a half-swording can opener. Designed to thrust, stab and penetrate the joints of Plate armor. The Sempach is also very good at cutting. Stay tuned for updates regarding this rare and historic reproduction.
