How to seal in moisture NATURAL HAIR

Sealants are essential for locking in moisture and protecting natural hair from breakage. There are so many sealant options available from oils to butters and pomades.
Penetrating oils are able to penetrate the hair shaft. These oils tend to work best when used with a water-based leave in conditioner or with water by itself, as the moisturizing agent.
Some of theses oils are also hybrid- they can penetrate as well as act as sealants eg Broccoli seed oil expensive but a little goes a long way, grapeseed oil, olive oil, Avocado Oil –great for hair that is dry due to heat damage. It’s high vitamin E content strengthens hair to prevent breakage, while helping to smooth the cuticle. It is lighter than olive oil, and will absorb into the cuticle without weighing your hair down. Best used as a pre-poo treatment.
Applying a sealant is very important to retain moisture in your hair, it slows down the rate of evaporation which will sustain your strand until you come to remoisturise.
