New Transformers Movie Release Date. What's going guys? RBG here bringing more Transformers news. And I have yet another update regarding the current state of the TF film franchise. In our last update we talked about how we'll be getting an animated Transformers film that'll be directed by Toy Story 4's Josh Cooley. This story will be very different from past Transformers films, as it will take place on Cybertron and will follow the relationship between Megatron and Optimus Prime, before the war between Autobots and Decepticons made them enemies. We currently have no details regarding the release for the animated film but we do have a release confirmed for 1 of the other TF films. So we're gonna talk about it today. But anyways back in January it was reported that there was 2 scripts in the work for future cinematic Transformers releases. 1 for a sequel to Bumblebee and the other for a live action Beast Wars film. Screenwriter Joby Harold who's mostly known for his work on the John Wick films will be directing the follow-up to Bumblebee which is the franchise's most critically successful film yet. While James Vanderbilt will be working on Transformers Beast Wars. A computer-animated incarnation of the franchise that aired in the late 1990s. But that show established itself in the far-distant future of the original transformers franchise, and it made me wonder if these two movies would even be connected. I find it weird that we're getting all of these projects announced when we're just getting a coarse correction in the form of Bumblebee. It would make sense that they would build off of that newly found momentum to get rid of the bad taste the Bay films left in movie goer's mouths. But I guess Paramount sees that the brand has a lot of ideas in the TF lore toy chest that they can play with and make tons of money. With the news that the studio is branching out into other Transformers incarnations such as Beast Wars is encouraging to many fans, who want to see the series' full potential realized.
