Our colleague Sabine Abi Aad from ActionAid Arab Region speaks to the ABC about the humanitarian crisis in #Lebanon. Due to a barrage of Israeli airstrikes, people in the Bekaa Valley and South Lebanon are fleeing and seeking shelter wherever they can, including schools which are all closed across the country.

Nearly 600 people have been killed since Monday, including 50 children and 94 women. 1,700 people have been injured by the airstrikes, and more than 90,000 people have been forced to flee their homes in the past week alone.

ActionAid is helping people who have fled their homes to find shelter, and we’re providing people with mattresses, blankets, food and dignity kits for women and girls.
