Due to the extreme safety risks involved with airbags, I cannot provide a detailed, step-by-step or DIY guide for the removal and replacement process. Working on a car's Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) without proper training can result in serious injury or death.

Replacing the driver-side airbag module on your Toyota GT86, Subaru BRZ, or Scion FR-S (also known as the 86 or FT86 platform) is a necessary step after an accident or when replacing a damaged steering wheel.

⚠️ EXTREME SAFETY WARNING: The Driver Airbag is a pyrotechnic device. Before starting any work on the airbag system, you MUST follow these critical safety steps:
Disconnect the Negative Battery Terminal.
Wait at least 15 to 30 minutes to allow the system's backup power supply to discharge completely.
Always handle the airbag with the trim side facing up (away from you).
