Come aboard to continue my journey to Epsom aboard this lovely tuneful AEC Routemaster / Park Royal, RML2456 (JJD 456D) which makes all the sounds traditional AEC-engined London Routemasters used to do!
The owner has extensively rebuilt the bus back to 1970s NBC-livery London Country condition, complete with AEC AV590 engine and matching gearbox, as well as traditional tungsten lighting, Treadmaster flooring and LT moquette.
This part of the journey demonstrates the lovely rich 1st and 2nd gear gearbox notes as well as as nice guttural notes in 3rd, as completes route 418 between Leatherhead to Epsom.
