EXPLORING THE CATHEDRAL VALLEY LOOP AT CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK WITH OUR TOYOTA 4RUNNER

Описание к видео EXPLORING THE CATHEDRAL VALLEY LOOP AT CAPITOL REEF NATIONAL PARK WITH OUR TOYOTA 4RUNNER

The Cathedral Valley Loop at Capitol Reef National Park in Utah is an awesome scenic drive that takes you into some very remote and rugged parts of the national park. We spent the entire day exploring the back roads of the Cathedral Valley Loop in our Toyota 4Runner. The 57.6 mile loop takes you off the paved roads and into some of the far removed northern sections of Capitol Reef National Park. Along the drive you will see the Bentonite Hills, the Lower South Desert Overlook, the Upper South Desert Overlook, the Cathedral Valley Campground, Gypsum Sinkhole, The Temple of the Sun and The Temple of the Moon and the amazing sandstone monoliths of Cathedral Valley. Cathedral Valley was named for its visual similarities to Gothic style cathedrals. Beware as there are no paved roads on this loop and the sand can get extremely thick and deep, so you absolutely must have a high clearance vehicle and a 4X4 is strongly recommended. The Cathedral Valley Loop Road is a great way to see the remote northern part of Capitol Reef National Park that is rarely visited by tourists.

This is the seventh video in the series of our summer 2020 road trip adventures.
