Wacky Worm'n the Willamette

Описание к видео Wacky Worm'n the Willamette

Float on down from Wallace Marine Park to Keizer Rapids with me to try and find a spot to try wacky rigging a Senko worm. Should have just done the rocks at Keizer Rapids, I had no idea just how weedy the Willamette River is most of the way.

Had to use weedless Fluke or Berkley jerk shad for half the trip because of the real shallow and weedy river.

Wind picked up hours before predicted and blew me upriver most of the time. And in the end my camera started overheating, again.

I was really happy with the wacky worm performance once I got in more rocky conditions. Yamamoto Senko worms are really good (5" greenpumpkin/purple flake and 4" greenpumpkin/black flake), just have to come up with a way to keep them from falling apart on your hook. I tried small 'O' rings I bought at Bass Pro Shops. I didn't get the 'applicator tool' they were pushing to put the rings on the worm, just the rings. I've seen some that put heatshrink around the middle of the worm to keep it from falling apart.

Just keep the worm off the bottom and you'll catch something.
