In this video, the Extraordinary Surfaces company, Neolith, shows us the new Neolith Himalaya Crystal sintered stone by SIXS Collection.
Neolith is a Sintered Stone, a new and revolutionary product category, made to meet the most demanding architectural and design needs. It is not standard ceramic or stoneware, but rather an evolution of these materials that create a new type of surface that had never been before. In the Sintered Stone industry, Neolith is a pioneer.
What is Sintered Stone, and how does it work? 100% natural composition based on three groupings of elements:
1. Granite minerals such as quartz and feldspar provide the product with hardness and strength.
2. Chemically stable minerals derived from glass and silica.
3. Natural oxides with chromatic characteristics.
The Sintering Process Neolith, which TheSize invented, duplicates the process by which stones naturally form over thousands of years in just a few hours. It entails treating the above-mentioned raw materials to extremely high pressures and temperatures. Unlike marble, Neolith is tough, scratch-resistant, long-lasting, and non-porous.
Neolith is available in two slab sizes: 3200 x 1500 mm (126′′x60′′); 3600 x1200 mm (142′′x48′′); 3200 x 1600 mm (126′′x64′′); and 2600 x 1200 mm (102′′x18′′). A 2600 x 1500 mm (102′′x60′′) standard and custom-cut formats are also available for unique requirements.
Neolith is also available in a variety of conventional tile sizes, including 1,5001,500 mm (60′′x60′′); 1500x750 mm (60′′x30′′); 750x750 mm; 1200 x1200 mm (48′′x48′′); 1200 x 600 mm (48′′x24′′); 600 x 600 mm (24′′x24′′); 600 x 300 mm (24′′x12′′).

What is Neolith?
What is the definition of Neolith sintered stone?
Sintered Stone is a natural product made entirely of granite minerals, glass minerals, and natural oxides:
• Granite contains quartz and feldspar, which give the surface hardness and strength.
• Glass minerals and silica ensure chemical stability.
• Oxides of natural origin have chromatic characteristics. - Lightweight & Durable: Porcelain is more robust than granite, known for its toughness. If you're looking for a durable countertop material, porcelain is the way to go. Porcelain, unexpectedly, outperforms granite in terms of strength by around 30% and does so at a far lower weight.
As of a specific number of m2, Neolith can be provided pre-cut with bespoke dimensions. Get in touch with the team at The Worktop Library to know more about this stunning Neolith worktop material today!
