Monaflex XLOTRS Sidewall Vulcanising System

Seen as an important goal to provide the dedicated sidewall repair service to the larger OTR tyre market, Monaflex developed the XLOTRS repair machine.
This system designed for the Extra Large OTR tyres in the range 40.00R57 through 60/80R63 allows sidewall injuries to be repaired quickly, and with the same superior patch adhesion that is seen throughout the Monaflex range of systems.
The heavy duty steel framework breaks down into four easy to manage sections which allow a team of two technicians to quickly and easily assemble the unit on the tyre.

Doing away with the traditional methods, the Monaflex systems utilises heavy-duty inflatable Airbags to provide the required pressure just where it is needed. A common complaint that users experience when operating a mechanical 'spotter' type repair systems is that the fixed solid heating plates force the tyre into an unnatural position, resulting in further damage being caused or the repair actually falling out after the tyre relaxes back into its natural position. The revolutionary use of inflatable Airbags in the Monaflex System allows for total conformity to the complex profile of the tyre resulting in a perfect, distortion free, feather edged repair every time. Being in complete conformity with the contour of the tyre, the repair will have greater adhesion than can be achieved by any other repair system.

Through the use of dual flexible rubber Heat Pads, the required temperature for vulcanisation is applied to both sides of the injury. This technique allows for rapid heat transfer through the repair and allows the patch and the plug to cure simultaneously, which significantly reduces the time taken for the repair to complete. Incorporating a patented element wire designed by Monaflex, these hard wearing systems provide excellent abrasion resistance and long life in the harsh and demanding environments they are used.
