The difference (or in some cases lack of difference) between the fowler groups and the actual groups was interesting to me. On occasion, the Norma tac has produced strikingly tight 10 shot groups with the chassis gun, and same with the Eley Target ammo. I'm going to be playing around with these two in an attempt to find out how to make them more consistent for grouping. Reliability of the action is actually pretty decent though, no failures to feed, extract, or fire in about 300 rounds that day. These actions DO need to be broke in though, that's absolutely true. Additionally, after about 50 rounds of the same ammo the groups always improve. I'm not sure why it takes so many rounds to smooth out, or perhaps it likes to be shot warm? Who knows. All I know is that so far, half the bullets/group sizes are squirrel capable, and half are garbage. Take your time and find the right bullets. No this doesn't compete with any of my bolt guns, and I don't really expect it to.
