Travis Elborough has been described by The Guardian as ‘one of the country’s finest pop culture historians’, Travis Elborough has been author, broadcaster and cultural commentator for nearly two decade now. His acclaimed books include Wish You Were Here, a survey of the British beside the sea, and The Long-Player Goodbye, a hymn to vinyl records that inspired the BBC4 documentary When Albums Ruled the World, in which he also appeared.

Travis will be reading from Wish You Were Here, touching on the infamous Mods and Rockers riots in the 60s, and explaining the importance of the seaside to British life.
