Lavern Cross’s 1982 Kenworth W900A

Lavern Cross’s Kenworth is definitely a head turner. In this video, he walks is through what work has been done to the truck, some of his background, and why he loves being a trucker.

Since 2007, Lavern has also been the organizer of the annual Blessing of the Trucks show in Indiana. The 2022 Show will take place Saturday, August 6th at the Elkhart Co. fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana. You can walk through the 2021 show here:    • 2021 Blessing of the Trucks  

The show is free to attend as spectator or participant. Trucks are asked to arrive by 10am Saturday, and can come as early as Friday afternoon. Lunch is served at noon (donations encouraged), and is followed by a guest speaker. Once this wraps up, there is a short service blessing trucks and drivers in small groups at their rigs. My favorite part of the event? Free ice cream all day!
