Karuta is a fast-paced game where students listen carefully to a clue and quickly find the matching card. While it’s great for listening skills, it has always depended entirely on sound.

During development, one simple idea changed everything:
“What if the question is also displayed on the screen?”

By showing the text visually, the game broke its sound barrier.
Now it can be used by students with hearing impairments, visual learners, and even in quiet classrooms like libraries. It also gives teachers a chance to rest their voices.

More importantly, this is no longer just one game.
It’s an open platform for teachers.

You can create your own questions using simple text files, prepare images for answer cards, and adapt the system to any subject:
English vocabulary, science, history, math, or more.

A traditional Japanese game has evolved into a flexible, inclusive learning tool for classrooms anywhere in the world.
