How to Increase water flow on a late model Moen or Delta shower.
After 2020 most shower water restrictors is simply a small rubber O ring washer, so removal is extremely easy. Manufacturers do not seem to explain the procedure to remove or replace with a smaller O ring to increase flow.
The huge public problem is that federal water flow standards have been reducing water flow to try to save water. Latest low flow standards leave the public with very low shower pressure so the people are taking much longer showers to rinse off, especially those with thick hair. Longer showers do not save water, and more importantly wastes our precious time, especially when trying to get to get out to work on time!
