Pulau Duyong Tour: Boat Builders, Yellow House, Terengganu River Cruise+ Duyong Marina & Resort

A must visit in Terengganu, Malaysia!

Pulau Duyong aka. Mermaid Island is located just across from Kuala Terengganu.
It was the home of many boat builders during the old times. It is a rare art now, but we got to see the last remaining boat builders during our trip. During this trip, we also visited the Duyong Fort and the Yellow House.

The Yellow house is owned by Rohani, a French lady that came to Pulau Duyong 50yr ago to learn how to build a boat to sail all over the world. But instead, she fell in love with the island and with one of the boat builder. The Yellow House initially was built for those who wants to learn how to build a boat but it is now open for everyone.

We stayed at a beautiful resort called the Duyong Marina & Resort where we had a delicious steamboat dinner at their Bytes Cafe, which btw, is also open to the public. If you come to Pulau Duyong, we would recommend staying here. We especially loved their big comfy bed.
