The Syrian army on Saturday declared it had captured the district of Douma. It comes after the evacuation of rebels and their families to a different rebel-held city in the northern part of the country. This was the last rebel holdout in the Eastern Ghouta countryside near the capital. Syria's army now has full control of Eastern Ghouta, which was the last major threat to Damascus.
