Most people struggle when they are asked to introduce themselves. And especially when they are expected to answer in a language that’s not their mother tongue, like English.

Self introduction is required in a lot of settings in life like formal setting, in casual meeting, with strangers, with interviewers, or in a party/group.

So one should know how to best do it. I’ll give you some quick tips for that followed by an example of how I would do a self introduction in English in simple words. I cover following points in the video:

1. Your introduction can’t be too long. Don’t be boring. Make it useful and interesting. Aim is not to speak out an essay about yourself, aim is to fulfil the requirements of the situation. What‘s the context? What is the other person intending?
